Happy Halloween!

Did you think I'd fallen off the face of the earth...? WOW...it's been a while!! I got caught up with so many things, some crafty some non-crafty and I just couldn't keep up...then I had a lil unexpected admission to hospital...my first stay ever...and hopefully my last!! I am fine now, just home with an unrelated diagnosis I could do without!!!! But c'est la vie...

SO here is the first card I've made for fun in ages!! And she is a doll isn't she...? Have had this lil cutie for quite a while...she was a dream to colour! As you'd expect this time of year she fits into a couple of Halloweeny challenges so I'd like to enter her at Cute Card Thursday and Papertake Weekly. I used a fab sketch fom Sketch Saturday...but of course there is a new one up now!!

I've coloured using the Prismacolors, used papers by MME, Jenni Bowlin and a scrap of October Afteernoon. The embellishments are by Prima (flowers, gems), Making Memories (yummy ribbon), Melissa Frances (rub on) and stickles to finish as always!!

I hope its not as long before my next card, although I am busy next week preparing for my holiday...so we'll see!! bx

Howdee Pardnur....!

Ok...I know there aren't any horses in this scene...but I just couldn't help thinking of "howdy pardnur" when colouring this WOJ image...think maybe the chewing of straw and tip of his hat did it...!

I've used 2 of the images from the WOJ autumn kit as well as the WOJ tree stump to create this scene. I used the fabulous sketch from WOJ Challenges - thanks girls I LOVED it! Although I did have to slightly alter one of the layers to accomodate my large image...but I hope a lil flexibility is allowed...?!

I'd also like to enter this card for Stamp with Fun's autumn theme!

Stamps: All images by Whiff of Joy
Colouring Medium: Prismacolor pencils blended with Sansador
PP: A mixture of MME collections, Making Memories and SEI
Embellies: Prima flower, brad from the lovely Sharon, the leaves I think are from Leonie (sorry!!), pearls unknown!

AFA - Funky Flowers

May I present to you my 2nd Guest Designer card for Anyone For Anya...?

The theme is Funky Flowers - we want to see something flowery on your cards. You can use bought or made flowers or you could use flowery papers - we don't mind as long as it's fab and funky.

Using my nesties, I cut a circle in the front so that the face of Anya was showing, then adhered flowers around the circle. I split my sentiment showing "if friends were flowers" on the front...then when you open up...

...ta daaaa....you see the whole Anya, with a basket of flowers, a flower in her hair and the second part of the sentiment "I'd pick you!" stamped on a Magnolia tag!

Here's how the whole inside looks!
Papers: My Mind's Eye - Irresistible, and a few "scraps"
Stamps: A Muse sentiment, Magnolia tag
Emellishments: Prima flowers, unknown gems, Bersford Ribbon

So that's my 2 weeks GDT'ing for Anyone For Anya. Thank you for the fab opportunity, it was soooo much fun. And thank you to everyone who left such lovely comments on my GDT card last week, and for any you might leave on this card!! bx

Get Better Soon...

Oh no...late again!! I made this card using the sketch at "Stampin' for the Weekend"....this is a fab sketch to use up some of your scraps...although I didn't on this occasion!! I just got stuck in to more of the gorgeous Oooh la la papers from MME!

Oh......normally I try and stick as close as possible to a sketch but I needed to change a few things to make it work for my card!

I coloured this cute nurse (Stampin Bella) using Prismacolor pencils, used lots of Oooh la la papers, a Fancy Pants stick pin, heart brad unknown, wide ribbon from Walmart or Michael's (I think!) a sentiment by "Will n Way" and a lil scrap of ribbon! bx

Rock on...!

Ooooooh la la....c'est tres chic.....! Hope you all had your bestest french accents on there!! lol Ooooh la la is of course the name of these gorgeous yummy delish papers by My Mind's Eye!! Love 'em, love 'em!!
I've used this dancing queen (my name for her, not sure of the official name!) Ketto image...she is teeny tiny but a joy to colour...I love hip chicks like this 'cos you can have some fun with your colours!!
I've simply added some Making Memories epoxy buttons (with a bit of embroidery thread through), a few teeny gems (not sure of maker) and a Melissa Frances rub on sentiment and of course the stickles...always the stickles!! lol
I've used the fab sketch by Truly Scrumptious...but I am old hat with it...now there's a surprise!! bx

Wedded Bliss!

I needed to make another wedding card....what better image than this sweet Magnolia couple..? I've coloured again with the Prismacolor pencils....I recently invested in a larger set and love the extra colour choices!!

I've kept this card nice and simple (I did personalise it after the photo though) as I tried to do something a little different with the opening.

I have used my favourite embellishment though which is Prima flowers (just looooorve them) so this card qualifies for the challenge at Stamp Something.

I've used embossed Doodlebug paper which means the card also fits the challenge at Just Magnolia. bx

Shopping Queen...

I was asked to be a guest designer at Anyone For Anya this week....woohoo....this is my card!! The theme is "Pink & White + one other colour" (excluding skin and hair). There are so many gorgeous pink plus colour combo's but I opted to include orange!! I love this colour combo, although I must confess I did have to hunt through my papers quite a bit...I had loads of pink and cream but no pink and white!!

So, Miss Anya is coloured with Prismacolor pencils, the papers are a mixture from different companies, I used a Melissa Frances rub on for the sentiment, Prima blooms, a glitter brad from Doodlebug, ribbon from Making Memories, little studs and string of fine "pearls" from stash.

There is a fab prize on offer again this week so do join in and let's see what colour combo you go with! bx

Sketch Saturday are currently recruiting new DT members....the first "round" of recruitment is to make a card using the sketch they've given....and this is my entry!!!

I've coloured Doraline with Prismacolor pencils, used patterned papers by Fancy Pants and Basic Grey, flocked vellum and bobble trim by Making Memories, ribbon from American Crafts, a rub on sentiment by Melissa Frances and to add interest I added glossy accents to give her shoes that "patent" look, some mandatory stickles and at this time of the year some fluffy stuff around Doraline's outfit....oh almost forgot, I threaded a few recycled seed beads onto some embroidery thread!

Ok...I'm off to enter my card....here's hopin'!! bx

Walkin' in a winter wonderland...

Yep...definitely need to get cracking with this year's christmas cards....I made this one a few days ago and forgot to photograph it...almost didn't get it posted!!

It's for the challenge at Anyone for Anya? which is this sketch....I'm not sure it's balanced quite right but apparently my aul brain isn't working on full steam to help me out with it!!!!!!!!!

I've coloured this cutie with the Prismacolors as per, used some more BG Wassail papers, used a yummy big Prima flower (with a lil stickles added for good measure!) and a couple of MF rub on's!

And please excuse me....I know no-one likes a "blow"...but I was sooo excited to receive this that I wanted to shout it from the roof tops.....it's the first "award" of it's kind that I've received so I was absolutely delighted...and yeah, I did check, there was more than 5 entries for the challenge!! lol bx

So, this Sugar Nellie image has just had it's first inking (after growing dust for a while!!) and has been coloured using Prismacolor pencils.....have to say I enjoyed colouring her!
I used some MME "scraps" that were lurking on my desk, a piece of recycled pink satin ribbon, Making Memories scalloped velvet ribbon, a Prima flower, a Hero Arts bling swirl and a couple of Making Memories epoxy buttons complete the look!

I coloured my Motivet image with Prisma color pencils
I thought this Rusty Pickle paper suited my Motivet image well
I've used a Melissa Frances rub on sentiment
Making Memories glittered star
Not sure of the maker of the button or fine satin ribbon

For You!

I used the sketch no 130 at CPS to create this card...a nice simple sketch which I enjoy!!

I inked up one of my lovely new Sarah Kay images....coloured it with Prisma pencils, used MME papers, a piece of recycled ribbon, some Rayher pearls, a Hero Arts sentiment, a lovely Prima bloom and of course some stickles to finish! Have you tried these yummy Prima blooms?....they have a kinda glaze on them!

I actually made this lil purse first, then I decided to use up the "scraps" to make my card! I used a recycled piece of chocolate ribbon, and some Making Memories bobble trim. I used a template for the purse - very quick n easy to make and looks cute (I think!!) lol

So there you have it, a card and matching gift bag!
Have a fab weekend everyone! bx

Happy Birthday!

Oh me, oh my...I have had one of the most stressful days in my life...I won't share here, for the sake of your mind and sweet dreams tonight...but, if you like bugs and gory story's email me for more!!

I can't believe I'm only getting around to using this sweetie now...but she is a sweetie isn't is? I've inked her up for The Sugar Bowl's 17th challenge. I've turned this sketch upside down; and yes, I've only added one handmade flower, but any more was too much!
For my handmade flower I used a floral shaped punch on a free "book", inked the edges, added a roughly cut piece of linen (Colin's old shirt!), added a roughly torn piece of paper and topped that off by adding some Rayher pearls!
I coloured my image using Prisma pencils, and stand back in amazement I have used SEI and MAMBI papers...(yep not a MME or Basic Grey in sight!!), I used a Kim Hughes sentiment, and a lovely piece of chocolate lace from Leann - think that's it!
Ok, I'm off to de-stress......it's gonna take a while I can tell ya!! bx

Stephanie's Super Candy!

Look at this fabulous candy being offered by Stephanie (Stamping & Sharing)....I had my first visit to her blog...her cards and projects are fabulous (scroll through til you find the sugar free cake!!)...but I am overwhelmed by her generosity also!

Thank you Stephanie for being such a generous and fun crafty gal! bx

Ok, nuff chitter, the card: Papertake Weekly is celebrating their 100th challenge this week...woohoo PTW! Happy Happy!

I finally inked up this cutie from Whiff of Joy stamps.....she's been sitting unloved for a while now!!
I'm entering this card into the first Basic Grey challenge since their grand new re-opening as it's their sketch!

I'm also entering it into Double Dutch (my first time entering this challenge) as their challenge is to use the colours "Brown Pink and Cream"!
And finally I'd like to enter this card into Stamp with Fun's challenge which was "birthday"!
I coloured the image with Prisma pencils, used papers from Basic Grey (Bittersweet collection), a princess charm (it was too shy to be photographed front on!!) - I added a few jewels to the top of it, the Happy happy tag is from Hero Arts, ribbon I think is from Michaels, Prima flowers and a creative imagination fuzzy brad. Oh...I almost forgot...I used a fab background stamp from Memory Box to add a lil "somthing" on my pink stip! bx

I used Dawny P's sketch over at Papertake Weekly Challenge - thanks Dawn I enjoyed using it!

LOVE this pair, new from Sarah Kay...I thought they could be used for a few different occasions! I've coloured them with the Prisma pencils, used some MME papers, a Melissa Frances rub-on, a scrap of sheer ribbon left on my desk...and I think...thats a Hero Arts fabric brad!

Oh Belfast is positively buzzzin...such a crowd of people down taking part in all the activities...i thought there was a great atmosphere for such a crowd with no bother at all...it's all fun fun fun! bx

Thanks Nurse!

My new Motivet stamps arrived this morning...yippeee!! (Note for Sharon...well you knew I would!!). They are gorgeous and this first one was a delight to colour! It's for the nursing staff to thank the ward my Father-in-law was on...so an appropriate image don't ya think..?

I used the sketch on the Motivet blog...enjoyed using it too...but it closes tonight so only made it in the nick of time!!

I coloured using my Prisma colours, used some MME 6x6 papers, some Prima blooms, a super sparkly piece of ribbon (sorry can't remember the maker), a Melissa Frances rub-on sentiment, the last few papermania stud-thingies (I LOVE finishing things...!), a Doodle-bug sparkly brad and a few wee gemstones.

My calendar tells me it's the last day of July (gee, anyone see that whizzzzz by?!) but looking outside my window it definitely looks and feels like late September.....*sigh*.....which is helping towards this terrible photo!! bx

You're Sweet!

Time to crack open another new sweet Sugar Nellie image...one from the Homegrown range this time which I just LOVE! This card was made with the current Sugar Bowl sketch...and is at the last minute as per!! I haven't had time to craft this past week what with one thing and "anor" (a good Belfast word don't you know!!) lol
Okay, so this is the Sugar Bowls sketch and the additional option was to use ribbons and bows...okay for my ribbon I tried a little different twist and I "gathered" this wide, sheer ribbon...and I added an itchy titchy bow (get the reading glasses out girls!!) on my gals head!!
I used some more Basic Grey Lemonade...still loving it...and will squeeze another few cards outta that pack yet!! I paperpieced my mushrooms with a "scrap", added a few Prima blooms, an A Muse sentiment (actually I used 2 different stamps to get that phrase!) and a few Queen & Co brads!
Okay gals, I'm off for some dinner now...I'm very hungry....have you spied anything utterly gorgeous at the CHA sneeks...? I'm loving the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, and the yummy October Afternoon collections, and the new Prima blooms.....so far!! bx
