Seems like forever since I have coloured an image - I was afraid I'd forgotten how!!  I used this cute image from Lili of the Valley and challenged myself to make a side easel card!! Not much of a challenge you may say but when you get stuck in the rut of making the same old same old....anyway, turned out like this!!

My 2 - I used 2 impressions of the POSTCARD stamp, and i used 2 of the metallic brad arrows (just can't remember the proper name of those right now...another wee blonde moment i guess!!)

Crafty Creations Challenges - #204 Something New

Happy New Year to one and all!! I couldn't believe how long it's been since my lost post - wow, the time has just flown by!!

Today's new theme at Crafty Creations Challenges is:

Something New

 I was lucky enough to have an American holiday just before christmas and was able to help santa choose some (ok LOTS!!) fab pressies for me!!  So this was a great opportunity to play with some of my new toys!!

I got this Front & Centre Die from Papertrey Ink - I used it to make a little gift bag.  (I'm going to make a few more of these to house little cupcakes)!  Got that Bazzill Basics card stock in the sale so that's new too!!  Once I made the little bag, i thought it needed a card to go with - so voila!!  I used another new edger die on my card. The sentiment SWEET is from a new Papertrey Ink stamp set - I mixed it up with a MFT sentiment on the card. The Simple Stories paper pad is not new - but it had't had enough love yet!! lol

-willing and able to use digital images in your creations, supplied by our sponsors

- able to create and post 2  projects/month

- able to comment on entries (divided up between members)

-willing to be on the team for a  minimum 6 month term

- have a positive team attitude and lots of energy to create!

I finally got around to inking up this cute Tilda - she has a nice wee paper pieced dress, and the rest was coloured with copics.  I used MME papers.

I chose this image "A Little Jar of Flowers"- the simplicity of it just immediately attracted me!

I simply coloured the image, then covered the jar part in glossy accents (because i covered it quite liberally it "buckled" ever so slightly - it gives the jar great dimension so that turned out great!!) 

I used these pretty papers by Basic Grey (Kissing Booth) and i attached a teeny pearl charm (Jenni Bowlin) using a Making Memories hoop.  The sentiment is Penny Black.

Couldn't be easier right...?

Although there are so many beautiful flowers to buy for our projects, i am really loving seeing all the different flowers that crafters are MAKING - so I decided to try one of these "loopy" flowers myself!  So much FUN and super easy - using one of MFT die-namics that is!! And this flower is a bit special - you see it allowed me to dip into my Granny's bag of felt, and that i LOVED!

I saw this cute "candy gift-wrap" idea when blog-hopping (SO SORRY, I have no idea when or where!!) and decided to try one myself....using some Bassill Basic card stock and gorgeous October afternoon paper! I adorned my project with seam-binding (OA) and a flower brad (Girls Paperie).

I made this birthday card for "wee son" - it is of course an adorable LOTV image!  I teamed adventure ted with some Basic Grey papers - spots and stripes - a perfect combo!  And for good stripey measure I've added a second strip of stripey paper - I must say I was pleased with this lil guy number!
