I made this card a few weeks ago using a Sketch Saturday sketch...I really like these sketches and they're having a celebration this week! I didn't get around to showing the card but as it meets this weeks Just Magnolia challenge to use an animal or insect I'd like to enter it! I dipped into the lovely Magnolia spring kit and used more fabulous MME papers....

What a week! I was away last weekend which was lovely, then took sick again on Monday and spent the week in bed! On top of that I had a freezer calamity! My husband came up to tell me that the fridge light was day I went downstairs, and being a bit more observant noted that the outside fridge light wasn't on, nor could I hear the usual light hum....hhmmmm......I decided to wait until Colin got home and toodled back to my sick bed!
A couple of hours later we went to investigate together...long story short we realised "some-one" had switched our freezer, there's only 2 people who live in this house and I was in bed sick all week.....soooooooo...obviously it was the freezer fairy who decided to swing by.....! bx

Sugar Bowl Challenge 10!

My goodness....its the 10th Sugar Bowl challenge already....gosh who saw that fly by...?! I loved this sketch by Marlene when I saw it, and was determined not to be last tram with it...but look what happened to that "plan"!! lol

I chose this image especially because of CCT's Happy Mail theme...but yep..that was last weeks!!

I only used half of the Sugar Nellie image so that I could work the sketch properly...but I'll use the full image again!! I used more yummy MME papers and buttons of course to comply with the "option" of the challenge. I "found" that little sentiment in a box thats been begging to be used for years!!
....and look what happens when you take your "eye off the ball"...this was my original attempt at the sketch...I turned the card sideways at one point to make it easier to put the 3 (checked) strips was only when I went to put the third strip on I realised that "something wasn't quite right".....yeah ANOTHER blonde moment for me...been having a lot of those recently!! bx

If friends were flowers....

Here we are again with another card using the same sweet Sugar Nellie image only cut out differently! I had wanted to cut out around the flower...but made a lil mistook and ended cutting much more than I'd planned....oops!!

I can't remember if I used anyone's sketch for this card (made about 2 weeks ago), please forgive me!!

I used some more gorgeous MME these fresh colours together! bx

Cutie Petootie!

Been a busy week again....I had some training for election day polls, went to the theatre to see "A Happy Medium" (which was very good) and the family lost a relative so we had a funeral to attend to.

Yesterday we took our 2 nephews to see Coraline...ghostie ned (an expression my granda used all the time!!) was the most frightening kids movie I've ever seen!! I didn't like the content of the movie...and the 2 boys were frightened outta their skin!! Jack wanted to leave before the end!! I'd definitely keep it for older kids!

So as I had no crafty time this week I'm posting this card which I made about a week or so ago! I made it using a fab sketch I'd printed off...but after I'd finished I realised it was the sketch for "Just Magnolia"!! Yeah...the expression "daft as a brush" comes to mind!! lol N'er mind, I still liked the result!! bx

I loved the sketch this week at Sketch Saturday and have already used it a couple more times! I finally got this little lady inked up and prizes for guessing the paper collection I've used again!! bx

Sugar Nellie Challenge 9 - MEN!

The hardest challenge for some of make male cards!! I have a box of brand new stamps at the side of my table which I am still working through....and there I found MacBeth...patiently waiting!! I thought he would make the perfect image for a male card and decided to use this MME paper to make a valentine's card...just to be different! The sentiment is by Kim Hughes and matches the whole theme!

This is another male card I made recently (but haven't shown) using a Mary Hall image, some BG papers and an apt little A Muse sentiment!

Thanks for the challenge Sugar Nellie team - I enjoyed it!! bx
