Crafty Creations - Owls

This week it is the turn of Amy to set the Crafty Creations challenge and she chose OWLS

We are sponsored by Blackleaf Studios who kindly provided the team some images to work with - this lil guy was my favourite!!

I coloured the image with prisma pencils, used some Basic Grey Oliver papers, my sentiment is by Stampendous, the trim is by Martha Stewart, the pearl swirl is by Zva Creations and of course the ticket is by Tim Holtz.

So let's see your owls this week ladies......on paper, charms etc...you choose! bx

Crafty Creations - Falling Leaves

Here we are with a new challenge once again......i am shocked how fast these weeks are flying by....!! This week Jaime set the challenge - Falling Leaves! We have certainly been having autumn weather in this neck of the woods!!

I am ashamed to say that this is the first time this stamp has been inked up...but I thought she was perfect for this challenge. I coloured her with Prisma pencils and pulled out an older collection of Basic Grey, with perfect fall colours! I stamped the leaves onto scraps, cut them out and crumpled them slightly. That trim is by Making Memories and the pearls are also Basic Grey.

So to see what my awesome teamies have come up with and for your chance to win a fab prize please join us here!! bx

The Sugar Bowl - Judy's Sketch

I made this card for the current sketch at The Sugar Bowl and promptly forgot to include buttons - good job the theme is now optional!!

Thank goodness to get this gal inked....she is a cutie!! I teamed her up with some Basic Grey papers, prima flowers, Basic Grey pearls, a butterfly stamp by Memory Box and zig zag trim is unknown! I'll add a sentiment when I need to use the card!!

Because of the lil butterfly this card is also eligible for the challenge at Cute Card Thursday!!

It's a horrible rainy day here...and I have errands to run...no jammie day for me today...sigh!! bx

Crafty Creations - Music or Dance

This week our lovely Melissa set her first challenge for Crafty Creations - she would like to see creations with a Music or Dance theme!!

Tiddly Inks is our sponsor this week...each DT member got an "allowance" to spend in the store...WOW....I have to say I was spoilt for choice...so many fab images...but in the end I went with this gal for our theme! As soon as I saw her the song "i'll put a spell on youuuuu, make you miiiine"....came into my head...and that's music right...? Good job you can't hear me singing it though!! lol

Yes, you are right, I DID use MME Halloween papers, and I had lots of fun colouring this image (as you can see with the purple hair!! lol) I think all the brads are by Making Memories, the big flower is by Prima; I got the felt musical notes trim in America last year but I can't remember who makes it! I thought the sentiment fitted this theme well too - it is by My Sentiments Exactly!

So thats how I interpreted the challenge - can't wait to see what you come up with!! bx

A Sweetie Wannabe!!

The Sugar Bowl are currently looking for some new "sweeties"....so I thought I'd give it a whirl!!
I think this is the last of my uninked Gorguss Girls (I hear your gasps!! lol)...I coloured the image with Prisma Colours aside from her frock which i paper pieced! I used Basic Grey papers, (I love the soft colours), the large flower is by Prima although I'm not sure where I got the smaller roses or the hatpin! The sentiment tile is by Making Memories.
I've distressed the edges, stitched a little et voila - my entry!! bx

CCC - Transportation!

Claire set the new challenge this week at Crafty Creations...she would like to see your creations with a "transportation" theme! Of course that can be intrepreted any way you feel fits the challenge....I chose to go with this (Woodware) bike image!
There is a bit of a story behind this card....all i can say is that "some-one" was a bit "mad" on a bike!!
I've used MME papers, Melissa Frances rub-ons and prima gems! bx

Back to School...

This Sugar Nellie cutie always reminds me of a school girl...not sure why...but I decided to ink her up for the Back to School challenge at Stamp Something!
I've used lots of favourites - papers by October Afternoon, Prima trim and flower, the flower centre is by Basic Grey (slightly altered for my needs!!) and I also recycled a Jenni Bowlin package by adding one of her rub-ons onto part of it (again I altered the rub-on slightly)...oh those teeny button brads are by Making Memories and thats a Fancy Pants pin...not sure which restaurant i received the doily in!! lol
Ok...it's off to work I go! bx

A Challenge - White Plus One Colour!

The new challenge set by Jenn this week at Crafty Creations is to create using White plus ONE colour!! I did find this a bit of a challenge...but thats what it's all about it!! Some people are sooooo creative when it comes to this kind of challenge or a mono look, so I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!!

I inked up this new cutie from PI and thought I'd slip another christmas card in....before the panic starts to set in!! lol

Of course christmas cards is a great time to dig out the fun flock and puffy stuff...as you can see, I did a lot of paper piecing on lil miss's outfit, including a fun flocked hat and scarf (and snowballs) and blue fun flocked boots!

So lots of dimension and texture on this card....let me know that ya think! bx
