Hoppy Day!

This is an Easter card I made last week using 2 of my gorgeous new Magnolia stamps....using the Friday Sketchers sketch from 2 weeks ago!! (I'm getting worse! lol)

Well the pub quiz was a huge success....I wasn't nervous and my questions went down well....we had lots of prizes which kept everything ticking over and we had great craic....best of all we raised £500 which was brilliant considering it was a cold, windy, lashing rain "skool" night....can't wait to the next one!!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I logged onto the Papertake Weekly blog this week to see that I'd won the prize from the previous week....woohoo I was thrilled so thank you PTW and Funky Fairys Papercrafts for my fab prize!

Unfortunately I haven't been able to do much blog hopping this past while, as I was quite busy with life outside crafts (is there really such a thing..? lol) and then I've had another few days of sickness!! I hope to get caught up again soon!

We're off to Newcastle-upon-Tyne tomorrow for a few days....can you believe we're almost into April...?! bx

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope all the "Mums" had a very special day on sunday! This is one of the cards I made for the occasion......thought this little Tilda was perfect.....and I've used some gorgeous glittery MME papers!

Gosh I've had a very busy few days again...and tonight I am "quiz host" for a fundraiser for my nephew...he is part of the Junior Belfast Giants under 14 team. They are trying to raise some funds to help with their trip to Latvia next month to partake in the Volvo International Cup....they're a great wee team! So please wish us all luck!! bx

My Crafty Adventure!

Marlene asked me to spill the beans...so here it is!! We made this card using "Truike" this magnolia stamp specially designed for the occasion!
We also made this cute little gift bag....loved the "natural" feel to this one!

A little wallet in which to keep stamped images...? There is another project but I have "loaned" it out so will show that at another time!

And of course any self-respecting crafter would give the till a good run for its money...look at all these yum-e papers....I was in paper heaven!!

This is some of my new magnolia stamps.....

...and some of my new embellies....couldn't get the rest into the photo....but you get the idea!!lol

I'm Back!

Hi everyone! Gosh it's been a while....I've been for a few hospital investigations, had a little craft trip to Amsterdam, which amongst other things seem to have kept me back from getting any craft time...and my camera broke which mean't I couldn't download any photos...but things are sorted now and here I am!!
On my craft adventure I managed to pick up lots of gorgeous new papers and quite a few new Magnolia stamps....2 of which I've used on this card! I'm entering my card into this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge - you have to have something edible on your card...what better than a lovely sticky cupcake?!! bx

Sweet Sixteen!

This card is for another 2 challenges and a perfect opportunity to use another gorjuss girl!!

I used the fab sketch by Kristine at Friday Sketches....and the challenge this week at Papertake Weekly was to use the colours pink, orange and brown...a lovely combination! bx

CCT challenge 49 - Animal Magic!

I'm really enjoying my gorjuss girl stamps....I used a couple of images from the WOJ spring kit (the butterfly and tree stump) so my girlie had somewhere to lean against while she chatted to her l'il cat which makes it fit CCT's Animal Magic theme ! I love how you can afford to be a little "funky" when colouring these images!!

I thought this A Muse sentiment was perfect with the image....I got this gorgeous sheet of PP at a closing down sale recently...what a bargain it was! bx

A Foxy Lady...!

Finally I got to make a card.....after muchos shuffling of paper and "willing" things to happen for me!!!! I find it so hard to keep up with all the challenges so this card is for 2!

I used the Ismaki sketch for this week...really liked it, thank you Ismaki!

I "christened" my new gorjuss girl and made a christmas card for the current Sugar Bowl challenge!

I think she looks great in her paper pieced outfit - I used the Basic Grey wassail paper pack I won in a candy from Frances - thank you Frances!!

Recently 2 blogging buddies were very kind to pass an award to me! I got this award from Natalie
And I got this award from Maria

A huge "thank you" for you both - I appreciate you so much for thinking of me! bx

Just hangin' out!

Nope I haven't disappeared off the face of it...jut haven't been creating lately and have nothing to share!!
Although I did find this card I made with a Sugar Nellie image by Mary Hall.....once I had the image all coloured I felt something was missing....now what could it be?.....of course!!....couldn't have two wee lads out playing in trees and all spotlessly clean......oh yes, they look much better now with a few slaps of "dirt" all over their clothes and shoes!! lol bx

Just for fun!

I made this recently using one of Leanne Ellis's images....and some bits n bobs kindly sent to me by bloggin' buddies (thanks girlies)! The MME PP is lovely and shimmery...loved how this turned out!

I haven't been able to "play" for almost a week...I know I'm going to struggle now as it always takes me a while to get back in the "swing" of things! bx

Something Tweet for you...!

I think this little girl is so incredibly "innocent" and pretty...she has a "Cinderella" quality to her....she is a dream to colour...i used the Saturday Sketch No37 to make this creation....and love how it all turned out!

BTW: I came home tonight to a huge amount of bogus "comments" so I have to switch to using the comment moderation function....hope no-one else gets hit!! bx

Somebunny Loves You!

I got this lil cutie image recently from Sugar Nellie...suitable for many occasions methinks...i went ahead and inked "her" up today using Claudia's fabby sketch for Friday Sketchers (ummm...yeah, last tram again!!). Anyway, it was a nice "simple" easy sketch which I love, leaves you plenty of scope to play with...so thanks Claudia, this one's a keeper!!

I found (yep, forgot I had it; in my weak "defence" this doesn't normally happen to me in my crafty life!!) a fun template I got in America last year...so I used it to "doodle" a flourish on the top left hand corner...initially I doodled with my white Ranger's pen, but it didn't show through very well, so I went over with a sparkly pen....so my doodlin' makes this qualify for this weeks Spoon Full of Sugar "Doodle Doo" challenge.

I like how this one turned out...think the colours are a bit different for me...? bx

Fabby Candy!

Look at this "sweet" candy being offered by Lynne...she's celebrating the arrival of her beautiful grand-daughter...pop over and take a peek and enter this fab candy!

Would you look at this fabulous candy that the very generous Cindy is offering..? Wow....fun times ahead for a lucky crafter!! Pop over to her blog for a little look-see and enter into the draw! bx

Oh Rats...I forgot!!

Love this new image I got from Whiff of Joy....couldn't wait to use her, so she was the choice for this weeks sketch at Whiff of Joy Challenge ...loved the sketch, loved the image, but I soooo struggled with this card...maybe it was the papers I chose...dunno...I just laboured over it so I left it a couple of times!! And finally...this is my finished result!! bx

Have an Ice Day!

The theme at Stamp Something this week is "Summer in the Winter" - well you couldn't get any more summery than this!! Another gorgeous Sugar Nellie image teamed with a little A Muse sentiment!

I made the card using the current sketch by A Spoon Full of Sugar - I really enjoyed working with this sketch and would use it again - so thanks girlies!!
Although it was not my intention to combine another challenge, today I realised this card also meets the theme at Cute Card Thursday which is "Metallica"....I had already picked this little cherry ear-ring out to add as an embellishment to match the cherry design on Summery Sue's top, and I also added this MM clip!! bx

I Love Moo!

The current theme at The Sugar Bowl is "Love and Romance"...so I suppose you're wondering why I didn't use a "sweet" little image with a heart, instead of Custard the cow....weeeeeell.....

...I have this Penny Black sentiment which matches Custard beautifully and wanted to use it!! So the play on words here makes this image so versatile!!
Recently Hero Arts were doing a feature on "pockets" on their blog which inspired me...if you look at Tiets gorgeous card you will see another hidden message, and, just before I uploaded this photo I saw this gorgeous card on Inge's blog....so it seems to be "trendy" just now!!
I wish you could see how twinkly and sparkly this gorgeous My Mind's Eye paper is...I just love it! bx

Sunny CA!

I was tagged at the weekend by Sheena to show the 6th photo in your 6th picture folder! That brought me to this cool dude!! This is my hubby on 5th August 2005 sitting in a fish restaurant at Redondo Beach, CA! We had a fab time...loved it!!

I think most people have already had this tag, but it was fun and a bit different so I'm gonna tag: Deb, Frances, Jeanet and Maria!

As I type this the golfballs.....ooooops I mean hailstones are falling....it's gonna be a cold one tonight!

Fancy trying to win some fab Valentine candy...? Then pop over to Sharon's lovely blog to find out all the deets! bx

Just you and me!

Happy 1st of February everyone - is anyone else alarmed how fast time is whizzin' these days...? Mum reassures me that it's a sure sign I'm getting old - thanks Mum!!

Love is all around blogland this week....I used the Friday Sketchers sketch which is nice and "simple".....although looking at this card on screen now it's missing something; I think I might go back and add a swirly stamp on the top...hmmm, not sure!!

This card also fits the theme of Whiff of Joy and Cute Card Thursday - Valentines! I love these bittersweet papers from Basic Grey, just love the colours!
If you're quick go join in Irina's fun blog candy here...but you only have until 9pm PST today! bx

With a little help from my friends!

I made this card for my Mum's birthday using little 'bits n pieces' from different people!!

I received the Magnolia wall and Tilda images from Maria - cheers Maria!

I received the doily from Deb - ta Deb!

I received the angel charm (I wanted to make sure and use this gorgeous charm on a card for some-one special!) and prima flower from Frances - merci Frances!

This card meets the "double trouble" challenge at Magnolia/Stampavie where you had to use at least 2 images - I've managed 3 on this one. I've had Rufus stamped and coloured for a while now; he was patiently waiting a home!! bx

Thank You Girls!

I just realised that I hadn't shown this gorgeous card I got from Marlene before christmas! Look at the detail and the colouring....I was surprised and delighted to receive it...and it's on my "wall of fame" for sure!! Thank you so much Marlene!Recently I received this goodie parcel from Deb...another gorgeous card for my precious collection and lots of new toys and images for me to play with...thank you so much Deb...it was a pure delight to receive all this from you!

Good things come in three's...I was thrilled with this parcel from Maria! Wow...just couldn't get it all in one picture....and those few Magnolia images do not reflect the mountain of gorgeous images that she sent me - all images that I don't own! Oh...and I can confirm that the chocolate is delish!! Although it says on the pack "for sharing..." - I didn't!!
Another beautiful card for my collection - thank you so much Maria...you are sooo thoughtful! I've always thought things happen for a reason...even little things...I couldn't tell you how many times I looked at that gorgeous christmas stamp (you can just see it peeking at the bottom right) and for some reason I changed my mind each time...that's why, "some-one" had already bought it for me!!

I can't thank you 3 girls enough...I am sincerely touched that you all thought of me...you each made me so very happy!
Just to finish, this is one of the gorgeous Whiff of Joy images that Deb sent me....I've used some of the yummy Paperie, Mocha collection by Making Memories using the fab Sketch Saturday...another great sketch and I shall hang on to this one too!! bx

Love is in the Air!

'Love is in the Air' is this weeks' theme at A Spoonful of Sugar.....this is a very simple card really, but it has some nice textures on it with the chipboard sentiment, the acetate butterfly and the velvet heart lace!! It is much nicer in real life too, I am just pants at taking photo's, I'm not even going to blame it on the light! LOL bx

New Year Candy!

Look at these adorable whipper snapper critters being offered as candy by the lovely Maria! Not only that, this is only one chance; there is another gorgeous stamp for another lucky crafter! You have until 29th January to pop over, say hello, have a wee look around her gorgeous blog and bag yourself a chance of winning some gorgeous new "toys"! bx

Look at this gorgeous gorgeous image!! She is just adorable, and she has friends!! Paula is releasing this new stamp range "Sharing Sherbert" on 1st February....but....you have until the end of this date to win the whole set of 9!! How fabulous!! To have a peek at the other images and get in with a chance of this super win, go here!!
This is the fab candy that the talented Marlene is offering to a lucky crafty gal (or guy)!! You have until 30th January to enter for these yum-E goodies! Good luck everyone!
Camilla is celebrating her birthday and her one year anniversary with Magnolia. Her style is vintage shabby chic and just beautiful...it suits these images so well. So for inspiration and a chance to win some candy, pop over and say hello! bx

My hubby dreams of cake!

He really does!! My sister asked me to make her a card for my hubby's birthday - this is what I came up with! I used this Penny Black image and repeatedly stamped the word "cake" to suggest that that is what he is dreaming of!! (the story behind this is that unfortunately he has a few medical conditions which means he seriously needs NOT to be eating anything sweet...but for such a sweet tooth this is very painful!)

Anyway, I used Julee's sketch for that particular week, and some K & Co papers which I thought were suitable for men!!
Now I'd like to tell you about Claudia's fab "thank you" blog candy! Claudia is a very talented crafter and one of my favourite blogs...if you pop over to her blog you will be sure to find amazing creations, tips, tutorials and inspiration, and a wonderful chance to win some newly released Alota stamps...couldn't get any better! bx

Play time!

Awwww look......isn't she just adorable? I can't get enough of these sweet little Sugar Nellies! I made this card using the current Saturday Sketch which I loved and will store away for future use!!

I am still "usin' it up" - see that little epoxy word "play"...? I have that about 4 years or so..but I was saving it for this special creation don't y a know!! bx

Kick up your Heels!

This is my second "attempt" at Friday Sketchers current sketch (turned upside down)!

My "problem" with the first card (posted yesterday) is that I didn't want to hide my pretty papers with that extra layer...so....being the crafty girl I am, I used a piece of acetate on this card....'cos I sure wasn't hiding these beauties!! I just love the colours of the BG bittersweet range...I cut along the pattern of the middle layer to go with the flow of the swing...and I like how the pattern on the paper sorta goes with that theme too!!

I thought this stampendous sentiment just matched the gorgeous Sugar Nellie perfectly - and it just happens to fit perfectly with this week's Stamp Something (which is to make a "birthday something"!!)

I must say I was pleased with this card...there's lots of different textures on it. The beautiful prima flower is one of the beauties sent to me by Johanna! bx

Relax with a giggle!

The CCT challenge this week was to "Have a giggle"! I immediately thought of a funny sentiment that I have, but when I went to get it I saw this fun whipper snapper stamp and decided to use it instead...well, it's only been lying unloved for almost a year now!!
I used the colour theme at Whiff of Joy as I liked these Basic Grey papers together.
Initially I was using the Friday Sketchers sketch but i didnt want to add that extra layer...it hid all my pretty paper!!!! So, I left it like this and created another card for that challenge!
The "bubbles" were part of a fabulous candy that I won from Frances! The big bracket (MM) is lovely and glittery (as are my bubbles in the bath) but you can't see that in the photo! bx

WOJ Colour Challenge!

Yaaaayyyy....I've finally got my act together for the challenges again - well, this week anyway!!!! Thankfully I've been enjoying my crafting again after suuuchhh a long time of sickness!!
So this card is for the Whiff of Joy colour challenge - Green and Purple. Although not colours I would normally race to use I think it's a lovely combo!! I love this little image too - and find that she's quite versatile!! bx

Going Dotty!

I made this for my nephew's first birthday which is in a couple of days and it fits nicely into this weeks Penny Black Challenge which is "Let's Get Dotty"!

I love these Daisy D papers, one of which is dotty, I've also used "fuzzy" round brads to highlight the birthday sentiment and itchy titchy brads on my name tab!

Love this cute little stamp also.....it's nice to play with the "old " favourites again!! bx

Happy Birthday Frank!

I'm sure many of you saw the special request to send a card to the Grandfather of Tina (owner of High Hopes) to celebrate his 88th birthday on the 21st of this month...? Well this is the card I sent him...I hope he has a wonderful surprise with all the birthday wishes from all over the world and has the best birthday!!

Look at this fabulous award! It's the Marie Antoinette Award - A Real Person, A Real Award! And it was kindly awarded to me from Natalie!

Natalie also passed this pretty award to me - thank you Natalie, from the bottom of my heart!

The awards are each to be passed on to another 7 people, so I choose: Deb, Jeanet, Maria, Marlene, Marte, Maya and Tiets!! You're all very talented and inspirational girlies!! bx

It's all about Three...

.....over at the Sugar Bowl this week!! And look at me...in on the first day this time instead of after the last minute!! haha

Anyway, there are THREE fabulous prizes up for grabs for this next challenge - which is all about 3!! Use 3 different patterned papers (you can use as much cardstock as you like), three different kinds of embellishments and if you're really on a roll, if you use THREE Sugar Nellie stamps then you double your chance of winning a prize!! Cool ehh..?!

I had these 2 beauties on my desk waiting patiently to be played with...and happily for me they face each other so I wanted to use them as my winter pair....

All the PP's I used are lovely and shimmery (Bo-bunny and SEI), and the 3 embellishments I used are flowers, brads and the glittery see-through dotty corner (MM)....I'm really making an effort to use my stuff!!
I have been enjoying decorating the back of my cards this year - another fab way of using up the bits (I couldn't bear to just chuck 'em!!)...but I've been too busy (cough, or lazy!!) to get much done on the inside...so I made the effort for this challenge of 3!!

I have used this stampendous sentiment sooooo much .... I just love it. Love the sentiment, the quirky font and of course it goes with so many wintery images!!

And ta-daaaaa - the back of my card all ready to be "autographed"!! bx
