Crafty Creations - 100th Challenge Blog Hop Celebration!

Hello and welcome to our Crafty Creations 100th challenge celebration blog hop!  The Crafty Creations Design Team have organised a very special challenge with lots of prizes to be won!

If you arrived here from Amy's blog then you are on the right track!!  Please be sure to stop by each members blog and leave a comment to be in with a chance to win the prize on offer at their blog.  You will then finish at Crafty Creations where you should leave your final comment!

My prize is kindly sponsored by Jennifer at Craft Brulee.  Here's what Jennifer says about her store:

Here you will find handmade embelishments as well as other products to help you make wonderful projects, layouts and cards. There is loads of wonderful lace to choose from.

Here is the fabulous prize on offer to one lucky winner (who will be chosen at random).  The winner will be announced on Tuesday 11th January 2011 - good luck everyone!

Now the challenge at Crafty Creations will be quite special in honour of our 100th challenge....it will run for 2 weeks so that gives everyone some time to enter!  All winners will be announced on Tuesday 11th January 2011. The challenge has 3 elements:
  1. A sketch (designed by Jaime)
  2. A colour combination (chosen by Deena)
  3. Use a recycled element (chosen by Claire)
For my card I have used Jaime's sketch, Deena's colour combination and my recycled element is some cardboard recycled from one of the (many) parcels I had delivered - I used a nestie to die-cut my star!  The adorable image is from Bugaboo Stamps - one of the many sponsors of our 100th challenge celebrations!  You will find full details of the challenge requirements, all the sponsors and the fabulous prizes on offer at Crafty Creations blog!  But for now, your next step on the blog hop is Claire.

Thanks for joining in and good luck to everyone!  Please remember to return here on 11th January to see if you are a winner! bx

Crafty Creations - Angels

Finally i get to post my card for last weeks Angel theme at Crafty Creations!  Fortunately I had the card made ahead of time - because i was "down" with a double dose of sickness!!  Gosh it was a looong dose...but thankfully, I'm finally on my feet again!!

I loved this flying angel in the recent Magnolia kit and HAD to use her for this theme......you see I loved her so much I made a "set" of these cards!

I do hope you had the chance to see the other fab samples made by the DT and even join in the fun yourself!  Wink Wink Ink is our great sponsor and is offering a fab prize to one lucky (random) winner.

Tomorrow is our next challenge theme - we have a special celebration in place.....it would be great if you could join us! bx

Crafty Creations - A Photo Inspiration!

Isn't this photo just dreamy...i looooove the soft colours, the mix of patterns/textures, the hint of vintage with pretty new ruffled bedding....and it just happens to be the photograph inspiration for this week's challenge at Crafty Creations!   Here's how I interpreted it:

I followed the patchwork effect using some scrap papers (Doodlebug, Melissa Frances and My Mind's Eye), stamped the sentiment by Penny Black and cut it out using a Magnolia Doohickey...the flowers and pearl swirl are by Prima; the pink pearls are by Basic Grey...sorry i can't remember who supplies the ribbon or pearl pin.

To see my fellow DT's interpretations and the prize on offer please pop across to Crafty Creations! bx

Crafty Creations - Bear projects

This week at Crafty Creations Claire wants to see all your projects using a bear....so sweet!!

We are proudly sponsored by Purple Panda who kindly gave us a few images to play with!!  By the way - Kayla is the artist and she is only 16 - isn't she a talented young lady?!

I chose this adorable lil guy...couldn't resist!!  I printed the image onto the spotty paper and cut it out...i cut foot pads and ear "bits" from scraps of pink and added a lil bow....sooo cute!!

I made a small box....and adhered the top and bottom to scalloped squares (cut by nesties)...the lid was layered then with patterned paper and my cute bear...oh, I almost forgot, I used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole in the lid and threaded some spotty ribbon (can't remember who this is made by) through so that the lid is easily removed!!  A few Basic Grey pearls finish my "beary sweet box" (nothing like blowing your own trumpet ehh girls?!! lol)

Hope you get the chance to join our fun challenge this week - there is a fab prize on offer for one lucky winner!!

A Head's up - you may like to know that we are planning a special event to celebrate our 100th challenge - lots of fun ahead!! bx

Sugar Nellie's "Grand" Competition - Round One!

Have you seen the new "toy" Spellbinders have released.....it's the Grand Calibur!! And it just happens to be the prize that Karen at Sugar Nellie is offering to one lucky winner in her Sassy Competition!!  Wouldn't that look GRAND under your christmas tree...or MINE?!!!  lol

After much debate I decided to crack open my christmas present and ink up a Sassy Gal to enter round one of the competition!  Karen wants to see WOW cards - White on White (she's a hard task master!!).  This is my entry:

I was going to make a "non-card" project but after checking the post again it stated card (I didn't want to take any chances!! lol) so i opted for a tent style card.

I chose the ultra cute Bella Bunting, coloured her with prisma pencils and then cut her out.  I paper pieced the banner with some of my favourite papers - My Mind's Eye of course!!    I cut 3 borders, layered them up and topped them off with some pom-pom trim.  I stitched around the edges a little, mounted my gal on foam squares and gave her centre stage!  Her "stage" is finished off with some sheer ribbon, a white Prima flower, a Creative Memories fuzzy brad, a Melissa Frances sentiment rub-on and 2 Basic Grey pearls to finish - lots of my favourite products on this card!!

Ok, I'll go enter my card now, I've already spotted one or two "crackers" so good luck to all! bx

Crafty Creations - A Giftcard Holder!

Jeanet chose a lovely theme this week at Crafty Creations - she wants to see a  Gift Card Holder!  Very handy for the upcoming season!

We have a fab prize from Simon Says Stamp this week - might get some-one a few extra goodies for the big day!

I have often seen these cute little projects on other blogs - but this is my first time making one...i enjoyed it thoroughly and as they are easily made, I'll make some more!!

I chose this lil elf image (Stampendous) as the matching sentiment is perfect for the project (I think!!).  I love the spotty MME paper...and i believe that lovely spotty ribbon came from my friend and fellow DT member Sharon (thanks hun...matches the paper perfectly!!).

I'm sure I'll get a few more ideas for projects this week when I visit you all - have fun creating!! bx
