Flutterby....

My mum got a huge pile of Laura Ashley goodies when she subscribed to a magazine....so I made this card with some of her new papers as a kickstart for her inspiration...she loves soft greens and loves this colour combo.....

Wanna know a secret?.....guess where I got my butterfly? I cut it outta the paper but because my image goes over the top of the missin' chunk you'd never know!! The butterfly is just edged with a little coat of stickles...and it looks sooooo pretty!

Mum liked the card...so I guess that's a result!!

I've changed my blog back to the ole plain jane look....it was just too fussy for me!! bx

ETA: I just realised this card qualifies for this weeks Cute Card Thursday theme which is pretty in pink...so I'm going to add it there! bx

Hi Bernie,
Well Leonie and I have been very busy the last couple of weeks. She just moved in her new house but is still findind a place for everything. She will get a great craftroom so she will be back!
San Fran was soooo great. WE didn't use a car because of the hills. We went by public transport (cable tram you have to go on a ride!) WE visited China Town, saw the painted ladies on Alamo Square. Rented bikes for a ride on the bridge. That's pretty hard but very satisfying. We stayed in Holiday Inn at Fisherman's Warf so we could walk to the Piers. Do try the famous Clam Chowder.
If you have any questions please ask.
I hope you have lots and lots of fun over there!!

Hi Bernie! I love this soft green and pink card, and the image is so cute! I saw the same add in a magazine, to subscribe and receive the Laura Ashley collection.. As it was in a UK magazine, I can't subscribe, but do you know where I can get the Laura Ashley papers? A website or something?? :)

I think what you've done with the butterfly is really clever! I will have to try that when I'm back at my desk :)

Have a lovely saturday!

Love, Marte

Thank you so much for your helpful information! :) And you are to sweet!! :)

Will check out the wesite now, and write you if I need more help. Thank you! :)

The planning is going slow, but it is fun! The wedding will not be until 2010, so I have plenty of time (so far ;)).. I'm thinking of making several differnt invitations, so you blogging ladies can help me pick :) But I also see that my planning gets a little out of hand when I have so much time on my hand.. Ha-ha, I can tell you that the only thing I'm sure of, it that planning a wedding is a fulltime job ;)
