Lucky Moi!

It was like "christmas morning" here on Tuesday when I received this fab candy pack from Ila...thank you so much Ila....you sent me "hours" of fun!!

This is one of the images in Ila's goody pack...I love the humour and teamed it with this Kelly Panacci paper which I thought complimented this sentiment well!! It's a very simple card...I wanted the humour to be the impact here and not all the "frillies" ....and I'm trying to make a few extra cards this weather for a craft fair which I'm going to soon...so they need to be "quick"!! bx

Karin is having a fun blog candy offering!! She wants ideas for her daughter Ruby's 6th birthday in the form of a party invite, a birthday card or a treat bag!! Innocence...

I love this Sarah Kay image.....that little adoring face is just so innocent to me....I was playing with the image and some basic grey "scraps"...and decided to go for a kick stand card...these have been around for ages but it's actually the first time I've gotten around to making one!!

Nothing too fancy...but my mum will enjoy making this one when she starts back to "class" with me!! bx

All heart...

Thought I'd better change my papers and colour scheme for a post or two!! This is another of the lovely images kindly sent to me by Frances...I've had these papers (We R Memory Keepers)for a while and thought I might give them a wee airing!!

Although I did start out with one of the current sketch challenges it didn't quite work out in the end!! I used my fiskars template to cut the oval, then used a circular scalloped template set I found recently...I just traced around the oval, a couple of scallops at a time, then adjusted it along the oval shape again....lucky for me it worked out neatly!! This gorgeous martha stewart ribbon matches the papers perfectly!! bx

Wylde Women!

I'm a Wylde thing....(hear the music playing??)!! Whoohoo...I received this funky award from Bev and Natalie...thank you so much for remembering me girls!!

Ever wonder who starts these awards or why...no?....ok, it's only me with nuthin' better to think about then!! Well, this particular award was started by Tammy Vitale To send love and acknowledgement to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy! She hoped the award would travel the world and she also hoped to visit each blog that received the award...I don't think she realised it's potential though!! Pop over and visit her blog - some AMAZING pieces of artwork!

So here are the rules:

1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between - it's up to you. Make sure you link to their site in your post.

2. Link back to Tammy Vitale so she can come visit all you wonderful women!

My list of Wylde Women are: Ana, Fran, Ila, Johanna, Katharina, Maria, Marlene, Natty K...ok I'm stopping at lucky no8 - here's to all you fab gals out there though!! bx

It's a busy one...!

Isn't this one sassy little laydee...? I love her!! As this paper (cosmo cricket) was still out on my desk and I loved it so much I thought I'd use it again...love how this turned out...but then I just LOVE red!! I used the sketch at Papertake Weekly which was created by Katharina...really enjoyed using it...will use it again for sure!! As you can see I'm still enjoying using my sewing machine...and YES I did wonky lines deliberately....HONEST!!
I now have a new addition for my "wall of fame"!! I LOVE this card folder from Frances...which was chock FULL of images (including the one above)...I also received lots of stickers and loads of little embellishments but I could only manage to squeeze so much into the photo!! Fran actually remembered my passion for red and tailored my candy prize - I think that's rather special!! Thank you so much Fran...I am thrilled to receive this candy prize from you!!

I want to send a very special thanks to Maria! She always remembers me (that's special) and has included me for this award...!

Rules for award:

1. Only 5 people allowed
2. 4 have to be dedicated followers
3. 1 has to be someone new or recently new to your blog & live in another part of the world
4. You must link back to whoever gave you that award

So now I will pass this on to Natty K, Ila, Deb, Kristine and a new visitor for me is Rach!

Awesome!

I knew I was saving these gorgeous papers for a "special occasion"!!! haha

Katharina has taken a very exciting step of producing her own range of stamps called "Whiff of Joy"! She has a few peeks and a naming competition on her blog if you fancy seeing some more!!

She is also going to ask some crafters to "guest design" for her...to "apply" you need to make a card using a lovely "simple" sketch....simple is my "style" so I decided to have a play!!

This is the first time I've christened this cute stamp...and wondered what each of these 2 might be thinking...when I found this little K&Co chipboard word I thought it might work!!

I was inspired by Leann's scalloped edges, and Johanna's buds and use of twine cord...thank you girlies!!

Ila has more gorgeous blog candy on offer...I was lucky enough to win her last candy...so I don't suppose lightening will strike twice...but God loves a trier, and hmmmmm, my hubby says "I'm very trying"!! haha bx

Friday Sketchers No11

Just as I suspected...after not being able to craft for a while, my "creative spirit" (wooo, get me!!) was on the go-slow!! I'd checked out the latest sketches and challenges and pulled out a few new toys...but it was a bit of a struggle really...that always happens after I haven't played for a while!

In the end I quite liked this result...I used Friday Sketchers No11 to kick start things....the paper is from Making Memories (Noteworthy) - I thought it fitted the sketch nicely!! I found the little button and (loads of) embroidery thread when sorting things out at my father-in-law's house, so that gives it a sentimental edge I guess!!

Again quite simple...but by now you will know that this is my "style"!!

Cool Blog Candy Offers

Donalda is almost there...at the 10, 000 mark! Help her reach her goal...and in very kind return she has a FAB candy on offer...go see!!

Marlene has another "not-to-be-missed" candy on offer - just because!! Go see...and be prepared to stay a while....you're in for a treat!!

Inge is offering a set of High Hopes stamps - they are cute as a button! Check out the candy and her lovely creations!!

Kristine is also offering candy....you'll definitely want to get over and check it out...yummy yummy stuff!! bx

Simply Sweet!

Another lapse in blogland for moi!! I had intended to post this card last week before I left for a trip to Newcastle-upon-Tyne to see my sick father-in-law...but the time just escaped me...again!!
I used the sketch by "2 sketches 4 U" which I really liked...since being introduced to this Making Memories paper range at scrapaganza, I am LOVIN' it!! It has taken centre stage on this card, with notta cute Sarah Kay or Magnolia in sight!! Quite a simple card again...but that's my style!!
Fess up time...I thought I was combining this sketch with another challenge to use buttons and brads on your card...but then I realised that challenge was on the Penny Black blog site...ooops b!!
When the hubby fella gets back to work I hope to have some creatin' and blurfin' time again...hope my mojo is still around!! bx

Precious....

My gorgeous Sarah Kay stamps arrived today...I've admired them for ages on other blogs...so this cutie had a little "christening" party tonight!!

I used Julee's current sketch (Poetic Artistry, sketch no 45)...I loved this sketch, simple and easy to use!! I also love these My Mind's Eye papers...and the prima flowers...yep, I just LOVE it all!! bx

I'm back...!

Gooosh...has it been that long...? Time just escaped me again...until today I hadn't made a single card in ages...I missed it!!!!!!!

I chose 2 challenges to get me started again...Cute Card Thursday's theme "the great outdoors" allowed me to christen my new Magnolia stamps (love 'em!!)....and my pink "bubbles" are deliberately wonky - when did you ever see bubbles travel in a straight line...? (OK, I need more practice with my new Big Bite II!).

I loved this sketch...nice and simple and so so easy to work with...thank you Arty Girlz!! bx

Thank you Thank you Thank you

3 very thoughtful girls remembered me when it came to passing out their awards! To say that I was thrilled and delighted is an understatement!! Thank you so much Natty K, Ila and Maria...you each literally "made my day"!
