Ismaki Challenge No 25...

I thought the Ismaki sketch was really fun and funky looking this week...so I wanted to make sure and use some fun colours! I chose these papers from the Noteworthy collection by Making Memories....and I LOVE 'em!! I love how bright and fresh they are!!
My beloved Penny Black stamps have been a bit neglected lately...so I gave this one a little light of day this week!! bx

2 4 The price of 1...!

The challenge this week at Stamp Something is this sketch....and this week's CCT challenge 15 is to simply make a birthday card...I combined them both...et voila!

I can never say "I never win anything..." again! I was sooo lucky at scrapaganza! I won one of the rafffle prizes...I got a whole bunch of goodies in my prize!! These gorgeous Crate papers were amongst the stash. I was also lucky enough to win a class prize in my Noteworthy class...I was absolutely delighted!!
And as if that wasn't lucky enough...when I got back from Scrapaganza...Santa had been! My mum n dad had spotted a bargain sewing machine and bought it for me!! Woohoo...I was thrilled!! I forgot to sew my pink strip though...so I had to get my new white ranger pen out...doesn't look quite the same...!

My birthday magnolia stamps finally arrived recently and this is one of them...do you see her little necklace...do you LOVE it?!!
Oooops...I forgot to mention...Katharina is starting a new sunday feature on her blog...guess who is her first YAOB...? Wanna know more...click here!! x

Getting back into the swing!

I needed a 5th card for the boys teachers, and believe it or not this one started life using the CPS sketch no69. Usually I interpret the sketches as near as I can but this one has taken on some variance...is that allowed?...I've seen other crafters take a detour or two so I'm going to leave a comment at CPS anyway!! Hey....live on the wild side B!!

This is the little tag which is in the front pocket! It's a lovely sentiment - hope you can read it ok! bx

Gosh...how long's it been?!

... gee whizzz doesn't time fly?! I seem to have been full o' busy since I got home from Scrapaganza (did I say how much fun I had?!), but i couldn't account for the time if I tried!!

Anyway, I used Julee's sketch week no42 (Poetic Artistry) to give me a kick start! I wanted to make a couple of cards for my nephews finishing nursery and P1...already!! This image of Edwin was perfect for the job and as you can see I've kept it very simple...just my style!!

This is another I made for them...thanks to Ila for the images...they were perfect for this time of year!! I used Fancy Pants paper (both sides); I like that torn jotter look...but as I don't have the punch (yet!) I just "made" the effect myself...I used my hole punch then ripped each hole! On another card I used the scissors to snip a tiny bit out of each hole, I preferred that look, but I thought I'd share my improvisation with you all!! bx

Jacqueline's Blog Candy!

Help Jacqueline celebrate the big 10,000 blog hit milestone by joining in her blog candy! Some lovely cards to see when you pop over to leave a comment! bx

Happy Father's Day!

I thought this little Hanglar Stanglar boy with the pot full of hearts would be perfect for father's day! I've coloured him in with the distress inks...my new favourite colouring medium!! The papers are from the new Animal Crackers collection by Making Memories...I got these (and many other gorgeous papers!) at scrapaganza last weekend...so long ago already!! The little felt heart is from the animal cracker range also. I've had these scrabble-effect alphabet tiles for "yonks" - thought it was time to give them a dusin', and the ribbon has been there a while too...so that's it, simple but sweet...thank goodness to get back to playing again!! Might even get to try a sketch or 2 this week!! bx

Just a quickie...!

Well...I arrived home from Scrapaganza late sunday night...absolutely EXHAUSTED....I always think if you come home so tired it's a sign of a good time!! I had a blast..!

In all I took 13 classes...a few little hiccups with some, but with the exception of one class (which I had been really looking forward to...!) they were fab! This is the front cover of a little mini book I made in a Making Memories class using the 5th Avenue collection. It was an excellent kit, we made this fabulous 6x6 album, excellent tutor (Jeannie Damovich) - I LOVED it!! I just need to add some photo's and a few embellishments and it's done!

Really tonight I just wanted to announce the winners of the RAK..since I am a day late with this I pulled an extra name from the hat!! So without further ado could Julee, Natty, Tami and Wendy email me their addresses please and I will get their RAK in the post to them within the next couple of days!

I haven't gotten around for a blurf yet as my household chores were calling me bigtime but I will catch up soon! bx

Mojo Monday sketch no40...and a RAK!

I've really struggled this past few days to be creative...so I haven't been able to join in most of the weekly challenges etc...disappointing for me! But, hopefully I will have more more joy when I get back from my long awaited crafty trip to Amsterdam for Scrapaganza! Yippee....it's today!! I will be away all weekend scrapbooking with some of the finest crafty girls in the business - hopefully learning lots of new tricks!!
Before I go though I wanted to share this card I made using Julee's Mojo Monday sketch no40! I used some Daisy D papers, a cute Penny Black stamp and a sentiment from one of the fiskars acrylic plates and of course no card would be complete without some ribbons and embellishments!
And...have you all heard the great crafty news....Funky Kits are now going to produce the beautiful Hanglar and Stanglar stamps...which means they can be shipped worldwide now and not contained to Norway or Sweden (unless you have a contact)!! My lovely hubby recently gained a contact and was able to get me 12 lovely stamps....(that was the IOU for my birthday), it was definitely worth waiting on! So, if you would like to be in the random draw to receive a RAK from me containing some images of the 12 hanglar stamps I have, simply leave me a comment on this post...I'll draw 3 names on monday! Have a great weekend everyone! bx

Ismaki Challenge No22!

I really liked this weeks Ismaki challenge no22 - a sketch by Manue, with the option of using some red.....my favourite!! So I pulled out some Daisy D papers and complimented it with a scrap of Melissa Frances paper...I thought this fun Penny Black image would work nicely (sent to me by the lovely Ila!). I thought the "special delivery" sentiment fitted, so I stamped it onto 2 buttons for a little change! I've inked the edges, distressed the MF paper, doodled a bit...that's about it I think!

I received this lovely package from Alice Golden - so many thanks Alice! The layered doodle flower is the one I used to make my felt flowers...these flowers are also ideal for the cellotape/patterned paper technique demonstrated recently on the fab Hero Arts website...that will have to wait until after scrapaganza though!
I was also lucky enough to receive this lovely card and images from Maria as a thankyou for the PIF she received from me...how thoughtful Maria...and thank you very much! I don't have any of these stamps myself so they are a delight to receive! bx

PTW - To Die For...!

This week's Papertake Weekly challenge is "To Die For" - to use either die cuts or punched shapes...I've used the new arrivals cricut cartridge for the babe and stork (complete with googly eye!!).
I must say that my creative juices are on the wander again...which is disappointing...especially as I'm off to scrapaganza at the end of this week! Although maybe I'll get a kick-start there as all the design work is already done!! bx
